2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, password (encrypted)
• Profile Information: Display name, timezone, notification preferences
• Habit Data: Habit names, check-ins, notes, and progress
• Community Content: Posts, reactions (all anonymous by default)
• AI Conversations: Messages with Ezra (stored as summaries unless you opt in for full transcripts)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, push notification tokens
• Usage Data: App interactions, feature usage, crash reports
• Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the Anchor service
• Send you notifications (only with your permission)
• Improve and personalize your experience
• Provide AI coaching through Ezra
• Display community content (anonymously)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your personal information. We may share data only in these cases:

• Service Providers: Hosting, analytics, and AI providers (under strict data protection agreements)
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
• Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale (you will be notified)

5. Anonymous Community

All community posts are anonymous by default. We do not display your email or real name. You can choose an anonymous handle that is shown to other users.

6. AI Companion (Ezra)

• By default, we store only conversation summaries, not full transcripts
• You can opt in to store full transcripts for better personalization
• You can clear your Ezra memory at any time in Settings
• We use OpenAI's API for AI responses (subject to their privacy policy)

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active
• Habit data: Retained while your account is active
• Community posts: Retained until you delete them or close your account
• Ezra conversations: Summaries retained for personalization; full transcripts only if opted in

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Correction: Update inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
• Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-Out: Disable notifications, Ezra context, or memory storage

To exercise these rights, go to Settings > Account > Export Data or Delete Account.

9. Children's Privacy

Anchor is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure authentication, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. International Users

Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries. By using Anchor, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
